Joint venture developers Grosvenor Britain & Ireland and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels have announced Westminster City Council’s planning committee has resolved to grant planning consent for a new 190-room hotel, to be known as The Peninsula London. The property will be located at 1-5 Grosvenor Place, Hyde Park Corner, Belgravia in central London.

The Peninsula Paris will open its doors for the first time in the French capital on 1 August 2014 – more than eight decades after its flagship hotel was opened in Hong Kong. This will mark The Peninsula Hotels first foray into Europe.
