Norwegian launches low-cost flights to Las Vegas
Low-cost airline Norwegian has today launched the UK’s cheapest direct flight to the bright lights of Las Vegas, as the carrier continues its rapid growth in Britain. Europe’s third largest low-cost airline will commence a new direct service to ‘Sin City’ with fares available from just £179 one-way.
Las Vegas legend Caesars Palace prepares for golden anniversary
Marking half a century in the business, the world-renowned Caesars Palace will host an exciting weekend of events from Friday August 5th, exactly five decades since it first opened its doors in 1966. The weekend’s events will commence with a celebratory pool party for hotel guests, hosted by Gordon Ramsey at the picturesque Garden of the Gods pool oasis.
Norwegian launches low-cost flights to Las Vegas from Gatwick
Norwegian is continuing the expansion of its low-cost long-haul network by launching a new direct route to the bright lights of Las Vegas from London Gatwick. The twice weekly flights will launch from London Gatwick on October 31st, on the airline’s brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft which feature two cabins – premium and economy.
Record visitor numbers for Las Vegas in 2015
Las Vegas continued its historic visitation growth, setting another new record by surpassing 42 million visitors for the first time. This breaks last year’s record of 41.1 million, which was the first time the destination had ever topped 40 million. “Las Vegas couldn’t have reached this achievement without the support of our resort partners and the dedicated workers who make the Las Vegas experience what it is,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, president of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
SpeedVegas set for launch in spring 2016
SpeedVegas will start its engines come March 2016, when the 1.5-mile supercar track at Las Vegas’ newest and most thrilling attraction opens for business. By May 2016, the entire $30 million motorsports complex—including a multilevel welcome centre, event centre with a capacity of up to 1,000 guests, café and much more—will be complete.
British Airways flight bursts into flames in Las Vegas
A British Airways Boeing 777-200 has caught fire on the ground at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. Some 172 people were evacuated from the flight through emergency slides, with 13 taken to the nearby Sunrise hospital with minor injuries.

Las Vegas Monorail carries 55 millionth passenger
The Las Vegas Monorail Company transported its 55 millionth rider today, with the lucky rider receiving a Las Vegas gift package including a weekend stay, souvenirs and tickets to iconic Las Vegas shows and attractions. Kelsey Spatz of Wausau, Wisconsin had the good fortune to be the 55 millionth rider through the fare gates this afternoon during a weekend trip with her mom, Michelle Spatz , and was greeted by a traditional showgirl and a showering of Las Vegas gifts
