Etihad Airways trumpets success of equity alliance strategy
Etihad Airways today heralded a successful first year of its equity alliance strategy, after a financial reporting season which saw each of the five airlines within the alliance – airberlin, Air Seychelles, Virgin Australia, Aer Lingus and Etihad Airways – announce profitable performance. The airlines’ individual and collective results were boosted by a number of measures, including growing codeshare traffic between their networks, successful joint sales and marketing efforts, and a range of increasing business and cost synergies.
Etihad Airways inks deal with Air France-KLM
Etihad Airways has strengthened its relationship with Air France-KLM, with the announcement that the UAE flag carrier will wet-lease an Air France Airbus A340-300 for use on the Paris-Abu Dhabi route from May 15 to November 30.
Etihad Airways to upgrade Melbourne flights
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will increase capacity on its daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Melbourne, introducing a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from December 1st 2013. Etihad currently operates three daily flights from London Heathrow and two daily from Manchester to Abu Dhabi where passengers can connect to onward destinations including Melbourne.
Etihad signs KLM deal to boost cargo fleet
Etihad Airways has signed a wet-lease contract with KLM–Martinair Cargo to provide the UAE flag carrier with a Boeing 747-400ERF freighter. This is one of the first milestones on a range of cooperation initiatives between the partners creating ample cargo opportunities and customer solutions.

As part of its flight network expansion programme, Garuda Indonesia has announced increased services to six new destinations in Europe and the Middle East. The destinations - Frankfurt, Brussels, Milan, Dusseldorf, Munich, and Bahrain – will be served to codeshare partner Etihad Airways.
Etihad Airways increases flights to Pakistan
Etihad Airways has increased its flights to the Northern city of Lahore from seven to 11 a week. With the addition of the new services, Etihad Airways will now offer 27 weekly flights from four destinations in Pakistan which, along with Lahore, include Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar.

Etihad Airways , the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has increased its Khartoum services from five flights per week to a daily schedule. Etihad launched its services to the Sudanese capital in July 2006 with an initial three flights per week.

New leadership for Etihad in Cyprus
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has appointed Rashed Saif Al Shabi as its new general manager for Cyprus. The appointment of Al Shabi follows the recent announcement that Etihad Airways’ former general manager for Cyprus, John Evans, would take up the airline’s position of general manager for the Philippines.
Etihad soars into profit for second consecutive year
Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, has reported net profit of US$42 million for 2012, up 200 per cent on 2011. The report follows a year which saw strong improvements in revenues, passengers numbers and cost control.
