Etihad Airways brings Middle East to Brisbane
Etihad Airways this week commences its new schedule of daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Brisbane via Singapore. To mark the occasion Etihad Airways will operate ‘Blue Moon Rising’ – its Airbus A330-200 painted in Manchester City Football Club colours – on the commemorative February 1st flight.

Etihad Airways has opened the doors to one of its brand new aircraft for the airline’s first-ever ‘on-board showcase’ in Washington, DC. The new B777 aircraft made its maiden voyage from the Boeing Everett factory this week, stopping at Dulles International Airport for the one-day-only event.

Etihad Airways has confirmed it will launch daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. In other news, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates is now offering its signature Etihad Chauffeur service to its Coral Economy class guests arriving or departing London Heathrow Airport.
Mandarin Oriental signs loyalty programme deal with Etihad Airways
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has signed a new partnership with Etihad Guest, the loyalty programme of Etihad Airways. Etihad Guest members can now earn 500 miles for each eligible stay in a room, or 800 miles in a club room or suite, at any of Mandarin Oriental’s participating hotels worldwide.

Etihad Airways flies record 10 million passengers
Etihad Airways has surpassed its target of carrying 10 million passengers in 2012 and is set to achieve a 22 per cent increase on the total of 8.41 million passengers for 2011. The award winning airline will start flights to at least three new destinations in 2013, Washington DC in March, Sao Paulo in June, and Ho Chi Minh City in October.
airberlin further expands Etihad codeshare deal
airberlin is expanding its code-sharing activities with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, with five additional destinations in East Asia via Abu Dhabi. The Chinese cities of Chengdu, Beijing and Shanghai are being added, in addition to the Tokyo and Nagoya in Japan.
