Mandarin Oriental Qianmen set to open in 2018
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced that it will manage a luxury hotel project in the heart of Beijing, due to open in 2018. Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing is located within the traditional Qianmen East Hutong Quarter, close to Tiananmen Square, which is undergoing a process of preservation and regeneration.

Edmund Bartlett, minister of tourism for Jamaica, has arrived in China to take part in the 22nd session of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation General Assembly. The event is being held in Chengdu, China, from September 11th-16th.
Finnair to launch flights to Nanjing, China, from May 2018
In line with its growth strategy, Finnair is opening a new year-round route to Nanjing, China. In addition the airline is also increasing capacity to several of its popular short haul destinations and to many long haul destinations such as Tokyo, Bangkok and Delhi during the summer 2018 season.
Dusit unveils plans for two new properties in Huizhou, China
Dusit International has signed a management agreement with Huizhou Yuetai Investment Company to operate two new properties in Huizhou, in China’s Guangdong Province. Opening under Dusit International’s luxury Dusit Devarana and upscale dusitD2 brands respectively, both properties will be located in Huizhou’s Shuangyue Bay, one of the region’s most popular destinations renowned for its scenic hiking trails, white sandy beaches and crystal-clear water.

Delta Air Lines to connect Shanghai and Atlanta from July 2018
Delta Air Lines is expanding in Asia with the launch of a new service between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The new route is expected to start in July 2018.

Etihad brings Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 to Beijing route
An Etihad Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner touched down in Beijing earlier after its inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. Flight EY888 departed Abu Dhabi at 21:30 local time yesterday and arrived in Beijing at 08:50 today.
