Marriott forced to issue apology after China error
Marriott International has been forced to issue a grovelling apology to authorities in China after the hotel giant incorrectly labelled Tibet and Taiwan as independent countries in a survey sent out to loyalty members. To compound the error, Marriott also suggested its support for this position by liking a post on Facebook, a move it blamed on a “careless” associate.

Hilton has announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Chengdu – Longquanyi, the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Chengdu. DoubleTree by Hilton Chengdu – Longquanyi is owned by Chengdu Baicheng Investment Company and managed by Hilton, and is designed to meet the growing demand for premium, international accommodations in eastern Chengdu.
