Etihad showcases new livery on first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Boeing has rolled out of its paint hangar the first 787-9 Dreamliner that will be delivered to Etihad Airways. The airplane is painted in the airline’s new ‘Facets of Abu Dhabi’ livery with colours reminiscent of the desert landscape, inspired by the culture, Islamic design and architecture motifs of the United Arab Emirates.
Emergency landing for LOT Dreamliner at Glasgow Airport
A Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by Poland’s LOT Airways has been forced to make an emergency landing on route from Chicago to Warsaw. The plane made the unscheduled stop at Glasgow Airport earlier.

United Airlines has become the first North American carrier to take delivery of the Boeing 787-9, a stretched version of the Dreamliner that will allow the airline to accommodate more customers and further capitalise on its worldwide route network. Xiamen Airlines receives first Dreamliner to celebrate anniversary
Boeing and Xiamen Airlines have welcomed the delivery of the airline’s first 787 Dreamliner as the airline celebrates its 30th anniversary. “We are excited to receive our first 787 Dreamliner which is also the first widebody airplane of our all-Boeing fleet,” said Che Shanglun, president and chairman of Xiamen Airlines.

Ethiopian Airlines has added its ninth Boeing 787 Dreamliner to its expanding fleet. The new aircraft which was received earlier and has been named ‘Great Wall of China’. This latest additional aircraft will support the route to Hong Kong from Addis Ababa.
All Nippon Airways places $13bn Boeing order
Boeing and All Nippon Airways have finalised an order for 40 widebody airplanes as part of the airline’s strategic long-haul fleet renewal plan. The order, valued at approximately $13 billion at list prices, was originally announced as a commitment in March.
Boeing to base 787-10 Dreamliner production in North Charleston
Boeing has that final assembly of the 787-10, the newest and longest member of the 787 Dreamliner family of airplanes, will take place exclusively in North Charleston, South Carolina. Boeing will continue to assemble both 787-8s and 787-9s in Everett, Washington, and North Charleston.

Air India commences operations to Rome and Milan
