Emergency landing for LOT Dreamliner at Glasgow Airport

Emergency landing for LOT Dreamliner at Glasgow Airport

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by Poland’s LOT Airways has been forced to make an emergency landing on route from Chicago to Warsaw.

The plane made the unscheduled stop at Glasgow Airport earlier.

There are no reports of any injuries during the landing, with Glasgow Airport confirming operations there were unaffected.

The plane was met by emergency crews as a precaution.

Passengers have been taken off the plane and checks are being made to the aircraft.

Some reports suggested that there had been a smell of smoke on board the aircraft, but a spokesman for the airport has confirmed checks had revealed no signs of smoke damage or fire.

No reason for the landing has yet been released.
