Aer Lingus has announced its first-ever transatlantic Avios-Only flight, with an exclusive service from Dublin to New York (JFK) set to take off as part of the airline’s celebrations for 10 years of its loyalty programme, AerClub. Marking a decade of rewarding loyal customers, the milestone flight represents a major moment for Aer Lingus’ popular Avios-Only offering – where every seat onboard is exclusively available to purchase using the airline’s reward currency Avios. This is the first time the concept is being extended across the Atlantic with Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus’ AerClub members can now collect Avios on every journey they take using the Uber app, by simply linking their AerClub and Uber accounts. Members of the airline’s loyalty programme will collect 1 Avios for every €1 spent on any journey taken on the Uber app in Ireland and the UK. To celebrate the new partnership, AerClub members who link their AerClub and Uber accounts via the Uber app and complete a journey before July 31st will receive 500 bonus Avios.

Finnair Plus loyalty members will now use Avios as their new loyalty currency, as the program enters a new era. The move comes following a partnership with IAG Loyalty to adopt Avios - the loyalty currency used by Finnair’s oneworld partners’ loyalty programs - British Airways Executive Club, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and Iberia Plus.
