Amadeus signs Worldpay for Payment Platform
Amadeus and Worldpay, a global leader in payment processing, have announced a global agreement to integrate Worldpay’s extensive payment services into the Amadeus Payment Platform. Amadeus’ travel customers will be able to offer more payment choice to their travellers, therefore enhancing the consumer experience, as they can now accept more payments in more countries and in more currencies through Worldpay’s leading range of payment solutions.
Expedia links with Amadeus to offer passengers branded fares
Expedia has revealed it will begin offering customers the ability to search for and purchase branded fares from select airlines in 2015. Expedia has partnered with Amadeus, a world leading global distribution system, to create a standardised solution that allows participating airlines to seamlessly offer their branded fares to customers.
Thomas Cook signs on for Amadeus Altéa solutions
Amadeus and Thomas Cook group airlines have announce an agreement which will see the latter become the first leisure carriers to adopt the Amadeus Altéa solutions. Four of Thomas Cook group airlines based in Germany, the UK, Scandinavia and Belgium adopt Amadeus’ Altéa suite as a single platform to manage reservations, inventory and departure control. By unifying its IT systems across the group, Thomas Cook group airlines will be able to implement a customer-centric strategy offering a single consolidated customer touch point with comprehensive real-time information.

The agreement, which sees JAL become the latest oneworld airline to adopt Amadeus’ Altéa, will allow the airline to replace its existing passenger service system, which was originally activated back in 1969.
New appointment for Amadeus
The Shareholder General Meeting (SGM) of Amadeus has approved the proposals presented by the Board of Directors. These included shareholder remuneration, the incorporation of Mr. Luis Maroto to the Board of Directors as Executive Director, and the appointment and re-election of other Board Members.
