LATAM AIRLINES RESUMES DIRECT SERVICE BETWEEN PERU AND JAMAICA
LATAM Airlines has successfully resumed flights between Lima, Peru and Montego Bay, Jamaica, marking a significant milestone in Caribbean-Latin American air connectivity. The first flight, which arrived at full capacity at Sangster International Airport on Sunday, December 01, 2024, represents a major step in Jamaica's strategic expansion into the Latin American market. Operating three times weekly on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the route is projected to bring 45,000 visitors in its first year.

Air Canada Rolls Out Comprehensive Transborder Schedule from YVR for Summer 2025
Air Canada announced today its most comprehensive transborder schedule from its Vancouver (YVR) hub. Three new transborder routes to Tampa, Raleigh and Nashville, plus more capacity to Austin, Denver and Miami have been added, offering even more exciting options for travellers on both sides of the border. Together with its partner United Airlines, Air Canada will offer up to 7,700 seats on 58 daily non-stop flights to 21 US destinations next summer, representing an 11% increase in seat capacity from summer 2024. All flights are now available for sale at aircanada.com, through Air Canada Contact Centres and via travel agents.
Etihad publishes 2023 environment report
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has published its annual environment report, detailing the company's commitment and its progress towards its environmental goals. In 2023, the airline achieved a 45.3% improvement in passenger carbon intensity compared to its 2019 baseline. This resulted in a carbon intensity of 475 grams of CO₂ per Revenue Tonne Kilometer (RTK) for passengers. Etihad's strategy aims to reduce emissions through industry-specific actions, adhere to voluntary roadmaps and frameworks, collaborate with UAE's industrial partners, maintain transparency and proactivity on environmental issues, and continuously update its strategic targets.

Since September 30th , Lufthansa Group has offered its guests the innovative Upstream Check-In (UCI) service in 8 ports of the Greater Bay Area. This service enables passengers who fly with Lufthansa German Airlines and Swiss International Air Lines to complete immigration, check-in and baggage tagging in 8 ports, namely 6 ferry ports and 2 land ports, before heading to the SkyPier, located in the restricted area of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Seamlessly, passengers can then proceed directly to the boarding gates without clearing immigration and customs procedures in Hong Kong. Importantly, Upstream Check-In is also available for Lufthansa Group’s passengers who hold flight tickets from Europe to Greater Bay Area.
