Do you have a brilliant idea to enhance the daily travel experience of MTR passengers through smartphone technology? An idea that would enrich the lives of millions of people?

If so, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for, as well as a chance to stake your claim to a grand prize of HK$100,000.
Join the MTR App Talent Quest, a worldwide search that starts right now for a ‘killer app’ designed for the benefit and enjoyment of commuters. “This is a very exciting contest. We are throwing the door wide open to all kinds of
creative and engaging ideas,” said Mr Jay Walder, Chief Executive Officer of MTR Corporation who will be a member of the competition’s judging panel. “MTR is committed to exploring new and different ways of making the daily travel experience more seamless and convenient for our passengers. The Talent Quest is a great opportunity for people to tell us about their unique, unusual or ingenious ideas on what information or service would enhance the MTR experience for our passengers. This ties in directly to our new Listening and Responding programme.”

The new contest builds on the success of the ‘MTR Mobile’ iPhone app which has won international and local recognition for its excellence in mobile marketing and digital creativity. “Winning the awards has been a great encouragement to the Corporation.
We will continue to embrace new technologies and develop interactive ways to bring convenience and fun to our passengers,” said Ms Jeny Yeung, Commercial Director of MTR Corporation.
The MTR App Talent Quest is co-organised by the Hong Kong Computer Society and includes three contest groups: Open; Tertiary (local); and Tertiary (outside HK). Cash prizes of up to HK$15,000 will be awarded to the top three designs in each contest group with the overall winner collecting the grand prize of HK$100,000.
