Virgin Holidays to create 100 jobs

Holiday company Virgin Holidays will create 100 new jobs at its Galleria headquarters in Crawley, West Sussex, to manage increasing demand and enquiries from the holiday-going public.

The roles, to be filled in late September and early October, will include a mixture of Sales Centre and IT Projects and Development positions.

As part of this recruitment drive, Virgin Holidays will be holding assessment centres at its Crawley office throughout late August and early September with successful candidates joining its inspiring and comprehensive in-house induction and training programmes which combine on-the-job vocational instruction and classroom study.

This isn’t the first time Virgin Holidays has shown a commitment to plugging the unemployment gap; this announcement comes almost exactly a year after it revealed plans to create 100 retail apprenticeships for 16-24 year olds - all of which receive a nationally-accredited vocational qualification in customer service excellence alongside a salaried position. In addition to the apprenticeship programme, in the last three years alone the company has created over 250 full time frontline jobs to man its expanding network of shops.
