Vietjet has launched its latest international route, connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Tainan.
The inaugural flight was welcomed by government officials from both Vietnam and Tainan, as well as senior leaders from Vietjet Air.
The route will depart from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City at 10:45 and arrive at Tainan at 15:00.
The return flight will take off from Tainan at 16:00 and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 18:15.
The route will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, with a flight duration of three hours and 15 minutes.
Thanks to its convenient flight times and affordable fares, the route is expected to boost social, economic and cultural exchange between Taiwan and Vietnam.
Vietjet currently operates 54 domestic and international routes.
It offers twice daily flights from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City where travellers can easily connect to other cities within Vietnam via the airline’s extensive network of domestic flights.
In addition, other international routes include Bangkok, Siem Reap, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Yangon and Seoul.
