Tunisian Ambassador calls on Seychelles Tourism Board

The new Tunisian Ambassador accredited to Seychelles, HE Mr. Mokhtar Chaouachi, paid a working visit to the Seychelles Tourism Board this week to discuss cooperation between Tunisia and Seychelles in the field of tourism. Alain St.Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, and his Deputy, Elsia Grandcourt, who met with Ambassador Chaouachi held discussions that centered on advanced training in Tunisia for tourism board staff, the participation of a delegation from Tunisia at the 2012 “Carnaval International de Victoria,” and on the need to work together when and where possible for the development of tourism in the two countries.

“We were happy with the discussions we had with Ambassador Chaouachi, and we worked to impress on him the importance for Tunisia to participate in our carnival of carnivals and in so doing showcase the culture and diversity of Tunisia,” said Alain St.Ange after the meeting at the Tourism Board’s Bel Ombre offices.

Seychelles remains proud of being the host country for the only carnival that is the venue where the best carnivals of the world are invited to promote their own carnival alongside culture groups from the four corners of the world.
