Travelocity has unveiled its newest app which offers discounts on three-to-five star hotels of up to 55%

Travelocity partnered with sister company Lastminute.com to launch the iPhone app, called Hotel Deals by Lastminute.com.

Travellers are offered a three-day window to book stays of up to seven nights. .

“Hotel Deals by lastminute.com is perfect for the leisure traveller looking for a deal for an impromptu weekend getaway or the road warrior who gets stuck late at a meeting and misses their flight,” said Jason Fulmines, director of mobile at Travelocity.

Hotel Deals by lastminute.com offers discounted rooms from both major chain hotels and independent properties that are designated three star and higher, and features Travelocity Top Secret Hotel deals, which only names the exact hotel after the booking is complete.

Other features include a credit card scan tool that uses the iPhone’s camera to capture and auto-fill the billing information fields.

In addition there is an interactive map, a single page checkout with auto-fill that inserts and remembers the traveller’s details and the ability to view upcoming and previously booked trips in the “MyTrips” tab.
