The Travel Corporation has confirmed the appointment of Andy Barker as chief executive at Tracoin.

Tracoin provides services to TTC subsidiaries including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Grand European Travel, Contiki, Brendan Vacations, and Travel Corporation Asia.

A travel industry stalwart with more than three decades of experience, Barker most recently held the role of executive director at Globus Travel Services SA.

Commenting on the appointment, Brett Tollman, chief executive of The Travel Corporation, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Andy to the TTC family.

“He joins a team with a strong legacy and enviable reputation of outstanding contracting throughout Europe.

“We all look forward to collaborating with Andy to further build that legacy together as we continue on our path of successful growth.”

In addition to his two decades with Globus, Barker has held management roles with ATO South Africa and Kuoni Hong Kong.

Effective February 1st, 2017, Barker will relocate to London and Geneva, dividing his time between the two, and will report to Fenella Bishop, president of Travcorp Contracting Services, as part of the executive team.
