The Castle Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Dalian, opens to guests

The Luxury Collection has announced the opening of The Castle Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Dalian.

Owned by the Dalian Yifang Group and managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts, The Castle Hotel marks The Luxury Collection’s first hotel in Liaoning, China.

The property offers the brand’s signature concierge service and indigenous cultural experiences in a majestic urban retreat.

The Castle Hotel joins a portfolio of distinct Luxury Collection hotels in China, including the legendary Astor Hotel in Tianjin; Twelve at Hengshan and The Hongta Hotel in Shanghai.

“The fact that Starwood has opened five Luxury Collection hotels in China in less than five years, with an even more robust pipeline, reinforces the increasing demand for high-end hospitality where domestic travel continues to thrive,” said Paul James, global brand leader, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection and W Hotels Worldwide.

“We are thrilled to debut The Castle Hotel in Dalian, an enchanting city whose diverse cultural heritage blends seamlessly with its modern point of view.”

The Castle Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Dalian commands an imposing presence as a palatial Bavarian-style castle set amid lush foliage on Lotus Mountain in Dalian, Northeast China.

Overlooking Xinghai Square as well as Xinghai Bay and the Yellow Sea, The Castle Hotel offers 292 luxurious guestrooms and suites as well as 67 residences, offering stunning ocean views with meticulous interior designs.

Reimagined by HBA Interior Design, the hotel boasts an opulent, contemporary design where each detail - from the wall decorations and furniture to the ornaments and art collections – tells a story.

Following the hotel’s extensive renovation, the exterior of the hotel remains true to the original European-inspired architecture with hand-selected stones gracing the façade of the castle.

“We are delighted to open the doors of The Castle Hotel as the first Luxury Collection hotel in Dalian,” said Eddie Tang, general manager of The Castle Hotel.

“It has been our pleasure and honour to transform this enduring icon into a unique and enchanting luxury hotel – unlike any other in China.

“We look forward to providing global explorers with authentic travel experiences and exceptional service as they visit the multifaceted city of Dalian.”
