Starwood expands Sheraton brand in Thailand

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced its world-renowned Sheraton brand has expanded its footprint in Thailand with the opening of Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas in Prachuap Khirikhan, a province famed for its sandy coastline and popular resort towns of Hua Hin and Pranburi.

The converted and rebranded 55-villa property is owned by Honor Business Company Limited, a Bangkok-based property development firm that also owns the 240-room Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa.

“We are thrilled to partner with Honor Business Company on this conversion in Prachuap Kirikhan, a popular seaside retreat on the Gulf of Siam,” said Lothar Pehl, senior vice president, operations and global initiatives, Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

“Through its conversion-friendly strategy, Starwood offers owners the opportunity to reposition existing properties and affiliate themselves with strong global brands that resonate with travellers in markets worldwide.”

Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas is the newest addition to Starwood’s dynamic portfolio of 21 properties in Thailand under eight of its brands: St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, Sheraton, Westin, Le Méridien, Aloft and Four Points by Sheraton.

Sheraton currently operates four hotels in the Thai kingdom, including Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort, and Sheraton Pattaya Resort.

An easy and scenic three-hour drive from Bangkok, Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas boasts a prime beachfront location, approximately 22 kilometres south of Hua Hin, a luxury resort destination frequented by Thai royalty.

In recent years, Hua Hin has become fashionable as a weekend destination and holiday home community for Bangkok residents and expatriates.

Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas features all the Sheraton brand’s popular amenities and services including the signature Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft and a Link Café.

Guests can enjoy spa services by the private pool and a range of personalized regimens based on an “East meets West” technique, a soothing philosophy that harnesses elements of the natural environment to augment massage treatments.
