Seychelles tourism delegation in Durban for 2012 INDABA Trade Fair
A Seychelles tourism delegation led by the island’s newly-appointed Minister for Tourism&Culture, Alain St.Ange, is leading an important delegation to INDABA 2012.
He is being accompanied by the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Elsia Grandcourt; David Germain, the Seychelles Tourism Board’s Director of Africa, UAE and the Americas; Marsha Parcou, the Board’s Regional Manager for South Africa; and Olivia Alvis, the Board’s Graphics Designer.
The Seychelles Minister St.Ange told the press as he left the islands: “INDABA is one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar and one of the top three ‘must visit’ events of its kind on the global calendar. It showcases the widest variety of Southern Africa’s best tourism products, and attracts international visitors and media from across the world.”
The Seychelles Minister and his Tourism Board’s delegation will also be accompanied by members of the Seychelles tourism trade who are working with the island’s Tourism Board to develop the South African market. These Seychelles private sector companies who will also be attending INDABA include Air Seychelles, represented by Deon Freemantle, the airline’s General Manager ([email protected]) and head of Sales&Distribution, Cindy Vidot ([email protected]); Banyan Tree Seychelles is represented by Tinaz Wadia, Director of Sales, ([email protected]) and Sheila Banane, Executive Sales ([email protected]); Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort&Casino represented by Johnette Labiche, Director of Sales, ([email protected]) and Sales Manager Erica Tirant ([email protected]); representing Creole Travel Services is Blaisila Hoffman, Sales&Marketing Manager, ([email protected]) and Marketing Executive Hanifa Morel ([email protected]); Select-Seychelles’ Marketing&Contracting Manager is represented by Shamita Palit, ([email protected]); and Raffles Praslin Seychelles’ is represented by the Director of Sales&Marketing Marielle Morin, ([email protected]); Evgenia Boyankova is representing the Coral Strand Smart Choice Hotel’s as their Director of Sales&Marketing ([email protected]); and 7 Degrees South is being represented by their Marketing Assistant, Francesca Bonnelamme ([email protected]).
On the first day of Indaba 2012, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism held bilateral meetings with the ministers responsible for tourism in South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe, and he was hoping to also meet the Ministers for Lesotho, Zambia, and Kenya, as well as the Airlines Association of Southern Africa and RETOSA to discuss among other matters ROUTES AFRICA 2012 and the RETOSA Board, which will both be held in Seychelles this coming July.
