Rosewood Taipei under development for 2024 opening in Taiwan

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has been appointed by Fubon Hospitality Management to manage Rosewood Taipei, set to open in 2024.

The new ultra-luxury hotel located in the flourishing cultural and financial hub of Taiwan is an important addition to Rosewood’s expanding footprint in key destinations in Asia Pacific.

Located in Xinyi District, the most cosmopolitan district of Taipei, Rosewood Taipei sits at the intersection of new and old neighbourhoods, with sites such as Taipei 101 and Si Si Nan Cun cultural heritage village, all at the property’s doorstep.

The property is located at a juxtaposition of the modern and the traditional, offering the perfect base to explore the thriving city.

Rosewood Taipei will feature 191 spacious rooms and 27 exceptional suites, surrounded by Taipei’s iconic green hillsides and modern skyline.

“Taipei, with its distinct charm, combines the beauty of Chinese culture with a fusion of foreign influences, to create the perfect destination to bring to life Rosewood’s signature A Sense of Place philosophy,” said Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotel Group.

“The hotel’s location is perfect for both business and leisure travellers, in the heart of the city’s financial centre with the neighbourhood alive with the youthful energy of Taipei.”

Rosewood Taipei is an important addition to Rosewood’s growing Asian footprint, which also includes Rosewood Hong Kong, Rosewood Bangkok, Rosewood Yangon and Rosewood Guangzhou all set to open in 2019.

“We are delighted to partner with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts to develop the first Rosewood hotel in Taiwan,” said a spokesperson for Fubon Hospitality Management.

“Together with Rosewood we look forward to creating a new international landmark in Xinyi District, and to bring Taiwan’s hospitality market to a new height.”
