Regatta Travel signs with ICE Portal to develop high quality rich media content

Regatta Travel Solutions announced today that it is working with ICE Portal to deliver high quality rich media to its booking engine for CVBs.  ICE Portal sent a team of professional photographers to Barbados to shoot select hotels, activity providers and attractions.  BookBarbadosNow.com features professional images and virtual tours for hotels in Barbados, produced, hosted and distributed by ICE Portal.

BookBarbadosNow.com launched in April 2011 after the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association approached Regatta about building a website on which consumers could book hotels and attractions.  The success of the project has far outpaced expectations and has been featured on the destination’s official website, visitbarbados.org, for over a year.  Regatta has launched similar projects all over the Caribbean in Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, Antigua, Grenada, Anguilla, Trinidad and Tobago.  The Company also has projects in Mexico and Central America including VisitNicaragua.us.  Regatta now powers major CVBs in the United States including Seattle, Washington and Helena, Montana.  On Tuesday, Regatta announced their most recent project with Colorado Springs.

“It is the combination of Regatta’s superior technology, marketing relationships and expertise, and the destination’s enthusiasm surrounding the project that has made the Barbados project so successful,” said Ashwin Kamlani, President of Regatta Travel Solutions.  “When the idea to work with ICE Portal came about, Barbados was excited to be the first destination to take advantage of the opportunity.”

“Regatta has really become a pioneer in terms of increasing booking volume on destination websites, and we are happy to help increase conversion with better visuals,” said Henry Woodman, CEO of ICE Portal.  “Combining ICE Portal’s groundbreaking rich content creation and distribution techniques with Regatta’s booking engine is an exciting advancement for both companies.”
