Queensland Rail Travel offers new holiday range for 2012

Queensland Rail Travel offers new holiday range for 2012

Regardless of whether travelling by plane, train, or automobile in 2012, Queensland Rail Travel has a multitude of holiday options for travellers as part of the latest stage of its successful All the holiday you can take campaign.

Rail/fly and rail/drive packages are the cornerstone of the latest experiences on offer, which give customers the flexibility to travel the way they want to, while still enjoying the relaxing nature of reaching a destination by rail.

Queensland Rail Travel general manager, Max Kruse, said the different travel options allow customers time to discover both Queensland and rail travel at a pace they enjoy.

“We understand customers may not have the time to travel by rail every time they take a holiday, but we still want to give them the chance to take a train, even if they’re only taking a short break,” Kruse said.

“Several of our rail/fly packages allow our customers to fly home for free, if they travel in Queenslander Class on The Sunlander.

“These deals have three-night stays at top quality hotels, so you get a taste of everything; great food and facilities in Queenslander Class; excellent accommodation; and a quick trip home in the air.

“We also have rail/fly packages to Longreach, so you get the best of both worlds with travel on the iconic Spirit of the Outback, a four-night stay in the Outback, before a flight back home.”

The rail/drive packages are perfect for whatever part of the state you live in, with options in both far north Queensland and on the Gold Coast.

“The rail/drive offers mean customers can spend time in a couple of different locations when they travel,” Kruse added.

“When they’re in Cairns, they can take a hire car up to explore the wonders of Port Douglas during a three-night stay. On the Gold Coast, the deal also gives customers three nights at the magnificent Mantra Salt Beach, near Kingscliff, in northern New South Wales.

“With each offer, it is pointed towards one of our five key Queensland experiences; the Outback, reef, rainforest, beach and city.

“When you hop on board with Queensland Rail Travel, the journey by train is as much a part of your holiday as the destination.”
