Leading boutique cruise company goes from strength-to-strength
Comprising a fleet of 11 fully owned vessels - including mega yachts, sail cruisers and private luxury yachts - Variety Cruises is one of the largest small ship cruise lines in the world. With limited capacities (from 40 up to 75 passengers) Variety Cruises has conscientiously crafted an array of intimate and informal boutique cruises and yachting experiences to suit all manner of budgets, with exclusive hire also an option.
Variety Cruises launched in 2006 following the merger of Hellas Yachts and Zeus Tours & Yacht Cruises, which was founded by Greek tourism visionary Diogenis Venetopoulos in 1949. With a specialist knowledge of the Greek Islands, Variety Cruises is still owned by the Venetopoulos family and the company’s penchant for unique and experiential itineraries, investment in exquisite new ships and an informal on-board atmosphere have ensured it continues to remain a cut above.
Inspired by the fishing boat routes of the early Venetopoulos generations, Variety Cruises provides a myriad of Greek cruise experiences that truly showcase the region’s fascinating history, vibrant culture and natural beauty, with new itineraries this season. Whether aboard a luxury yacht or casual sail cruiser, the boutique cruise specialist will provide a memorable trip throughout the captivating contrasting Greek islands incorporating the likes of Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, and Peloponnese combined with lesser known gems such as Patmos, Tinos and Paros. Variety’s smaller vessels allow stops in smaller ports of call and for specialist island destinations like the Greek islands there really is no better way to island hop in style. The neighbouring Adriatic Sea, nestled between Eastern Italy and the Balkan Peninsula, and the Mediterranean countries of Southern Italy, Sicily and Malta are additional enticing destinations for Variety Cruises’ guests.
As well as its specialism in Greece and its surrounding seas, worldwide destinations are also part of Variety Cruises’ repertoire with progammes further afield to West Africa and a host of new itineraries and dates to the Cape Verde, Cuba, Costa Rica and the Seychelles.
