Iberostar launches online pre-check-in system

As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation and its groundbreaking position at the forefront of the hotel industry, IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts has launched a pioneering Pre Check-in system that enables customers to select their room online prior to arrival.

This new tool, similar to the systems used to select seats for flights, enables users to browse the hotel map and take a 3D or 180º tour of the rooms, to help them select their ideal room.

This is a simple and intuitive system which customers can use from the comfort of their home.

The new online Pre Check-in system enables customers to tour the hotel of their choice and explore the various areas thanks to photographs and videos.

The process is simple: once IBEROSTAR customers have made their reservation, they will receive an email providing them with access to the new tool, which they can then use to select the room of their choice (according to availability) before their arrival at the hotel.

E-Commerce & IT Director at IBEROSTAR HOTELS & RESORTS, Tomeu Bennasar, said: “This new tool offers customers the opportunity to tailor their holiday to their needs, giving them complete control. A simple click is all that’s needed to select the room of their choice and guarantee their satisfaction and avoid any unexpected surprises.”

This new tool is the latest step forward in IBEROSTAR’S vocation for innovation and customer service, with the company channelling considerable resources into setting up the system.

All the hotels have been photographed room by room and recorded on video. 3D plans of all the floors at each hotel have been created including 180º views of all the facilities so customers can take a complete tour and select the room of their choice.

Bennasar added: “An ongoing R&D&I strategy is crucial for a company like IBEROSTAR. Closely tied to our total commitment to customer service, it enables us to offer new products and services that position us firmly at the forefront of the industry.”

This innovative system is free of charge and is available in four languages: Spanish, English, French and German. It is currently operational for online reservations made at eight of the company’s hotels.
