Hasselhoff calls in at Shamwari Sanbona for safari holiday

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve - known locally as the Arizona of South Africa - has hosted David Hasselhoff.

Most famous for his role in the television series Baywatch, the ‘Hoff’ sprinkled a little stardust during a three night safari last week.

Visiting Cape Town for the Loerie Awards, South Africa’s biggest advertising award ceremony hosted by Cape Town Tourism, Hasselhoff wanted some time out from his busy schedule and opted for a safari at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve.

Operated by Shamwari Group, the game reserve is only three hours outside of Cape Town.

Hasselhoff was joined by his girlfriend, Hayley Roberts and his manager.

Hasselhoff made the most of his time at Sanbona

“They had a wonderful time at Sanbona where they approached cheetah on a guided walk through the reserve, enjoyed star gazing under South Africa’s big open sky at night and enjoyed sightings of white lion and elephant,” said a local source.

Shamwari Game Reserve was earlier this year recognised as Africa’s Leading Conservation Company by the World Travel Awards.
