Flybe has started its new peak summer route to Rennes from London City with a service to north-western France that flies six times a week.

Flights operate through to September 4th.

London travellers can be in Brittany’s capital city in just an hour and twenty five minutes, in comparison to a lengthy six and a half hour journey if taking the Eurostar from London St Pancras.

Rennes has a thriving automotive industry and is one of France’s largest digital and IT centres, making it a key destination for business as well as for leisure travellers.

Vincent Hodder, Flybe chief revenue officer, said: “We are delighted at the positive response to our new route from London City to Rennes.

“Londoners can take advantage of this convenient connection that saves them time and money by operating from the very heart of the city.”
