Antler brings Atom suitcase to market in UK

Antler, the great British luggage brand established since 1914, has unveiled a ground breaking new product to the market, creating a new benchmark in lightweight luggage.

Atom, designed and engineered in the UK, is remarkably light, unquestionably tough, and packed with exceptional style.

Atom is the first ever suitcase constructed using Armordon, a self-reinforcing thermoplastic used extensively in the automotive, ballistics and construction sectors, that provides outstanding durability and is flexible enough to absorb impact without damage.

Engineered with great British design expertise from partners who also support Bentley and Aston Martin, Antler has fused this unique technology with Antler’s legendary luggage know-how, to propel Atom to set a new benchmark in lightweight luggage, creating a world class product.

The geometric surface structure inspired by hexagonal architectural forms, achieves both strength and lightness and is visually stunning.

With an entry weight at an exceptional 1.9 kilogrammes it also boasts soft grip Dupont handles and the ultimate Hinomoto smooth glide wheels with 360° rotating agility.

An industrial colour scheme enhances the shell design, while the surface tinted film forms darker tone, illuminating the metallic finish.

David Sharman, chief executive, Antler, commented: “The launch of Atom is a pivotal moment in Antler’s 102 year history of design and technical excellence.

“I am so delighted with the team’s pursuit of excellence, and I’m so proud that Atom now represents a true ground breaking design using techniques never seen before in the luggage market, and John Lewis, the UK’s premier luggage retailer is the ideal partner to launch with.”

Atom is available exclusively from John Lewis from July.
