Utell® Hotels & Resorts has added the five-star Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei to its international hotel portfolio of nearly 9,000 member hotels, which includes two other Evergreen Hotel Group properties that have also switched to Utell. The Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei is Utell’s first five-star property in Taipei, and, in addition, the hotel has chosen Pegasus Solutions for Global Commission Processing to handle travel agent commission payments
The Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei features 95 spacious and well-appointed guest rooms, including 35 suites. Offering two restaurants, including Evergarden’s Chinese cuisine, and La Petite Cuisine’s French fare, the Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei also has an entire floor dedicated to health and rejuvenation. Rooms feature original Italian furniture by Dubini and offer free in-house movies, free high speed Internet access, computerized room security, marble bathrooms and exclusive personalized service buttons.
“Our hotel is known for its personalized service and unparalleled luxury in our market. Utell’s comprehensive global sales, marketing and distribution services have yielded impressive business successes for our sister properties in Bangkok, which switched to Utell last year, and in Malaysia, which has been a member for more than a decade,” said Marc Huang, general manager of the Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei.
As a member of Utell, the Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei will benefit from Utell’s business generating relationships with travel agents globally, the proven Utell preferred agreements with major TMCs (travel management companies), online distributors, corporations and consortia groups, plus the comprehensive range of powerful business intelligence and Web services products available to members. The hotel will also leverage Pegasus’ market-leading reservations and booking technology services, provided to all Utell members.
“Utell offers independent properties and hotel groups the resources to truly compete on a global level, enabling them to tap our relationships and technology services to compete with the major players for bookings. We welcome the Evergreen Laurel Taipei to our international portfolio, and are eager to offer it to our wide selection of global customers as our first five-star property in Taipei,” said Ric Leutwyler, president of Utell.
The hotel will use Pegasus’s Global Commission Processing for timely payments of travel agency commissions. Recognized globally by agents as the preferred commission processing service, Pegasus Global Commission Processing offers payments with check or direct deposit in any of 37 currencies.
The Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei is now available on the global distribution systems (GDSs) under Utell’s chain code, UI, and at the dedicated travel agent Web site www.UtellAgent.com. It joins the other two Evergreen International Hotels in the Utell portfolio, Evergreen Laurel Hotel Bangkok and the Evergreen Laurel Hotel Penang in Malaysia.
