Europcar moves into new role with ExCeL

Europcar has opened its first Mobility Centre at ExCeL London.

A central component of the ground-breaking partnership between the two companies, announced at the end of 2013, the Europcar Mobility Centre will provide a range of services for visitors to ExCeL, representing a radical new direction in the way both companies approach mobility management.

Located on ExCeL’s main boulevard, the Europcar Mobility Centre will serve the needs of exhibition visitors, exhibitors, the campus residents and employees, hotel guests and the immediate wider business and consumer communities.

David Pegler, chief executive, ExCeL London explained: “The first of its kind, this partnership means ExCel will benefit from Europcar’s associated frequent flyer programmes, hotels and travel partners, helping to boost the experience for exhibitors and visitors.

“We will also be working together to support ExCeL’s partners and exhibitors in this unique collaboration.”

Offering an all-encompassing transport solution, it will provide access to a wide range of car hire services, including a chauffeur-drive service from Prestige at Europcar, a valet service and bus and coach services to and from London City Airport.

Exhibitors and suppliers can also hire vans from Europcar’s nationwide network for their trip to ExCeL, benefiting from hourly and one-way rentals, as well as delivery and collection services.

“Innovation is central to everything Europcar does, and this is the perfect example of what two leaders in their field can achieve by working in partnership”, said Ken McCall, managing director, Europcar UK Group.

“But this is just the beginning.

“With over five million visitors in 2012, across its 100,000sqm site, ExCeL is London’s biggest venue and as Europe’s largest rental provider, we believe Europcar is the perfect partner.”
