CityJet is introducing the Sonic ‘phase 5’ Self Bag Tag system at London City Airport, reducing check-in time from a couple of minutes to just 50 seconds.

London City Airport already has the shortest check-in time in the UK, and this new Self Bag Tag system provides passengers flying with CityJet the fastest option for checked-in baggage. Checked luggage can now be tagged and dropped off in under a minute.

The system is simple; having checked in online or at the airport kiosk, passengers weigh their bags and use their boarding pass at the Self Bag Tag kiosk to generate a label for their bag. CityJet passengers will then be directed to the designated bag drop zone where they can transfer the luggage themselves.
