London Luton will see nearly 500,000 passengers travelling through the Airport over the festive period heading to a wide variety of destinations, the most popular of which include Budapest, Dublin, Geneva, Glasgow, Paris, Sharm El Sheikh, Tenerife and Warsaw.
In addition to our regular business travellers, passengers during the Christmas Period will be taking advantage of the great value flights offered by our carriers to head off to ski and snowboard in the early snow, take time out for a relaxing city break, enjoy much needed sun or to simply spend Christmas with friends and family.
For passengers travelling at this time of year it is important to allow plenty of time for the journey to the Airport. Particular attention should be given to public transport services as there are some restrictions to regular timetables over the holiday period; on Christmas Day there is no public transport to the Airport and on Boxing Day there is no First Capital Connect train service and only a limited coach service. More information will be available at www.london-luton.com .
London Luton Airport would like to highlight that restrictions on hand luggage and liquids are still in place – passengers should check with the airline or visit www.london-luton.com before travelling. Passengers wishing to travel with Christmas Crackers should consult their airline before arriving at the Airport and are reminded not to travel with wrapped presents in hand luggage as it will be necessary for presents to be opened during the security procedure.
Simon Harley, the Airport’s Airline Manager commented:
“The vast range of destinations from London Luton Airport means we can meet the demands of the travelling public and help them to enjoy a fantastic festive season”.
