Charlie Sheen in clear after hotel rampage

Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen will not face charges relating to the alleged assault of adult film star Capri Anderson at the Plaza Hotel earlier this year.

Sheen was taken was taken to hospital for a psychiatric evaluation following the events, with the hotel stating the actor had caused $7,000 worth of damage to a suite.

Anderson had filed a complaint with the New York Police Department, accusing Sheen of assault and battery as well as false imprisonment.

The actress was paid a reported $12,000 for her night on the town with the Two and a Half Men star.

Anderson subsequently claimed Sheen had offered her hush money

However, authorities in the United States do not believe Sheen engaged in any criminal activity.

“There have been no arrests. That case is closed,” an NYPD spokesman said.
