Challenging targets set for Airport Community Programme

London Luton Airport has published its Community Engagement Annual Report for 2009.  The report summarises the Airport’s Community Engagement achievements in 2009 and outlines new and more challenging commitments for the Community programme in 2010.

Glyn Jones, London Luton Airport Managing Director said ‘We are extremely proud of the progress we have made with our Community Engagement Strategy since its launch in 2008.  We have met, and in many cases exceeded, the targets we set ourselves for 2009.  This report showcases projects and initiatives we have undertaken and sets out new and ambitious targets which will ensure that we continue to make progress throughout 2010.  Working with key partners has been enormously important in enabling us to meet our commitments and I would like to thanks all those that have helped deliver the comprehensive programme of activity outlined in this report.’

London Luton Airport’s Community Engagement Strategy represents the airport’s formal commitment to the local community, economy and environment.  It represents a promise to deliver continuous improvement in these areas and to listen and act on the feedback received from stakeholders and the local community.
