Capita travel and events appoints Paul Boyle as chief operating officer

Capita travel and events has appointed Paul Boyle as chief operating officer. Paul, a recognised leader in the global business travel industry will take up his post from 1st July.

In a newly created role for the multi-specialist travel, accommodation and events business, Paul will focus on ensuring operational excellence to enhance the Capita travel and events customer experience.
 
The announcement follows confirmation that Capita travel and events is now the 4th largest agency in the UK*.  The agency brings together Capita Business Travel, BSI, Expotel and Venues Event Management to create a multi-specialist proposition which is validated by new business and enviable high customer retention rates.

James Parkhouse, business director, Capita plc said “Paul’s expertise as an industry innovator and experienced manager of change will take Capita travel and events to the next level on its journey to create one powerfully unique business. Paul has almost 20 years of global agency experience, the last 12 of which were at executive management level for Carlson Wagonlit Travel. He has held board positions as director of operations for UK and North Europe, director of account management and latterly as a general manager within the Asia Pacific region.
