Cendant Travel Distribution Expands Relationship With Marriott

Cendant Travel Distribution
Services (TDS), a division of Cendant Corporation , announced today the
completion of a multi-year contract expansion with one of the world’s
leading hotel chains, Marriott International . The Marriott brands
participating in the new distribution program include JW Marriott Hotels &
Resorts, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts,
Courtyard, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, TownePlace Suites and SpringHill
Suites. Marriott’s extensive global inventory will now be available for the hotel
offerings on TDS’ Lodging.com, a leading hotel site with 4,300 global
affiliates, including CheapTickets.com, 1800USAHotels.com, and TDS’
recently acquired HotelClub.com.

With the agreement, Marriott will broaden its distribution reach and be
able to market its rooms to the millions of customers accessing TDS’
global channels. In turn, TDS will provide its customers with greater
access to rooms at Marriott’s properties worldwide. Through this one
partnership, Marriott will realize increased sales opportunities for
participating hotels and savings on distribution costs.

The new agreement expands the long-standing relationship between TDS and
Marriott. Marriott was the first client to implement Galileo’s industry
leading Next Generation Seamless technology, Inside Shopper. Additionally,
it was an early adopter of the Neat Group’s vacation packaging engine for
the company’s Web site, Marriott.com, and provides TDS with opaque
inventory for distribution through Neat. With the new agreement, Marriott
will have complete access to TDS’ full portfolio of distribution
offerings, while adding robust hotel inventory for millions of Cendant TDS
customers to enjoy worldwide.

“This expanded partnership with Cendant builds on a great relationship
that has proven to be both strategic in nature and truly beneficial to
both parties,” said Bruce Wolff, executive vice president sales and
marketing programs, Marriott International. “At Marriott, we believe in
selling the way the customer wants to buy and that’s why we are excited
that Cendant TDS customers will have greater access to Marriott hotel
rooms worldwide.”

“To continue to broaden our relationship with Marriott, one of the world’s
leading hotel chains, is extremely important. Our millions of customers
will see the benefit of gaining access to Marriott’s hotel brands around
the world when making their travel plans whether for an ala carte hotel
stay or a vacation package,” said Michael W. McCormick, executive vice
president, Cendant Travel Distribution Services.
