Stoweflake Introduces New Spa Treatment

A new healing therapy has recently been added to the extensive list of spa and salon services at Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa. Called “CranioSacral Therapy,” this extremely light-touch manual treatment is used to relieve headaches, reduce stress, control pain, promote relaxation, bolster resistance to disease and sustain overall good health. Following the introduction of other innovative treatments such as LaStone Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy continues Stoweflake`s efforts to be among the first facilities in the Northeast to offer unique healing programs.

“From our early days of offering spa services, we have consistently offered innovative programs to our members and guests,” Chuck Baraw, President of Stoweflake, commented. “We actively seek out new treatments, therapies and programs so that we can provide these leading edge services. We are especially pleased to bring CranioSacral Therapy to Stoweflake because of all of the great feedback we have had about its healing properties.”

CranioSacral Therapy is a unique treatment whereby the therapist - through gentle pressure - helps the client`s body remove obstacles in the craniosacral system, restoring balance to the body. CranioSacral Therapy enhances the function of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluids that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. The therapist rarely dictates how corrections are made, but rather helps the client`s body facilitate its own self-healing.

Leading the program at Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa is Andrea Altman. She is the spa`s head therapist, and the first staff member at Stoweflake to be certified in CranioSacral Therapy.
