Beachcomber reveals plans for Royal Palm Mauritius overhaul

Beachcomber Hotels has revealed plans for an exciting refurbishment to its flagship property Royal Palm Mauritius.

The property will soon celebrate its 30th anniversary and is currently upgrading its communal areas, restaurants and suites to create the ultimate luxury experience.

When the hotel reopens on the October 11th 2014, guests can expect perfection from start to finish.

Located on the island’s sheltered north-west coast, stretching along a pure white sandy beach, Royal Palm Mauritius is a tranquil haven with an uncompromising commitment to excellence.

In addition to making exciting improvements to the hotel, every step has been taken to ensure that the Royal Palm’s idyllic nature, timeless elegance and unique atmosphere remain intact.

The improvements being made are all designed to enhance guests’ enjoyment and relaxation.

The structure of the hotel itself will not change. All rooms will continue to be sea facing but each is being given a tasteful refurbishment, totally in keeping with the elegant style of the Royal Palm.

Following the redevelopment, 15 superbly spacious Ocean Suites are being created from what were previously 30 Junior Suites.

Each Ocean Suite will contain a sumptuously appointed living area, separate bedroom, and superb private terrace overlooking the sea.

Bathed in soft lighting, the new suites combine delicate and bold hues, fine fabrics, finishes in wood and marble and custom-made wooden furniture crafted by local artisans.

This means the hotel will now offer just 69 luxury suites down from 84 suites pre-refurbishment.

The Royal Palm currently has two fabulous swimming pools but is adding a third pool during the renovation.

This will be a stunning 25-metre heated lap pool for adults only, situated between the main bar and Le Bar Plage.

The new look Royal Palm is also taking dining to another level of excellence, starting with ‘La Brezza’ restaurant (previously called Natureaty).
La Brezza will offer elegant yet traditional Italian cuisine with an enticing touch of Mauritius.

This stunning restaurant will be in the capable and talented hands of Italian Chef, Alessandro Morino, overseen by Royal Palm’s renowned executive chef, Michel de Matteis.

Alessandro has enjoyed many years of international experience, and his fresh pasta and fish dishes are a tour de force.

Guests are in for a mouth-watering treat every time.

On the October 11th 2014, Royal Palm Mauritius will emerge as the ultimate luxury Indian Ocean escape, reconfirming its position as the most prestigious address on the island.

Both existing and new guests will delight in the improvements that have been made which have not in any way sacrificed the unique and charming nature of this very special hotel.
