Tony Gonchar is stepping down from his post as CEO of ASTA to join American Express’ U.S. Consumer Travel Network, according to reports.

Tony, who has been at ASTA 19 months, will be appointed as vice president of the Representative Network for the Consumer Travel Network at AMEX.

During his tenure at ASTA, Tony was responsible for building a consumer awareness branding campaign highlighting the benefits of using a travel agent and lobbying to promote legislative issues for the industry. 

Tony’s new appointment, in which he will oversee the growth of the group, will be effective in August.
