UKinbound headed to Cardiff for annual convention

UKinbound has confirmed that its next annual convention will take place in Cardiff, from February 7th-9th next year. Following the success of this year’s convention in Plymouth, Cardiff will welcome over 250 UKinbound members for three days of insightful debates, addresses from keynote speakers and networking opportunities in and around Cardiff.

The 29th edition of the Hay festival welcomed over 250,000 visitors with its stellar line-up of literary artistes, musicians, thinkers and more. Set in the Welsh border town of Hay-on-Wye the festival has been called ‘Woodstock for the Mind’ by Bill Clinton former President of the USA. The Royal Mint’s new Visitor Centre will open to the public on May 18th, offering unprecedented access to the fascinating processes involved in producing the coins in our pockets. Visitors will meet the experts on hand to share their knowledge and passion for making coins and there will be the opportunity for people to strike their very own coin as a memento of the visit. Located in south Wales, visitors to the centre will for the first time ever be able to go behind the scenes at the world’s leading export mint and follow the journey of a coin, from ‘blank to a bank’.

New tourism strategy launched in Wales

The Welsh Government has this week announced a new tourism strategy for Wales, which aims to grow the sector by ten per cent over the next seven years. The new strategy, which was devised by Visit Wales’ new chief executive of tourism and marketing Manon Williams, concentrates on further developing Wales’ high quality, iconic products and events to enhance the country’s reputation.
