Sol Hotels & Resorts has launched its new lifestyle brand, Sol Beach House, with the opening of its Ibiza location ahead of its first summer season. Situated on the beachfront near the beautiful bay of Santa Eulalia on the east coast of the island, Sol Beach House Ibiza offers a chilled out haven for adults.
Sol Meliá, in line with its strategy to grow in new markets, will open a new hotel on the island of Zanzibar in Tanzania. Meliá Zanzibar, a 5-star holiday resort, will strengthen the company’s presence on the African continent after the inauguration last week of its first hotel in Cabo Verde.
Hotel chain Sol Meliá has announced it made €4.6 million in profit during the first quarter of 2011, compared with €1 million in the same period in 2010. Profits are the back of revenues of €293.7 million, compared with €258.5 million in the first quarter last year.
