LD Lines offers ash cloud alternative
With the developing volcanic ash cloud situation potentially causing on going restrictions and cancellations of flights from and to the UK in the days ahead, ferry operator LD Lines confirms that there is currently foot passenger space available on outward and inbound Portsmouth – Le Havre and Newhaven – Dieppe cross channel services and additionally vehicle space, although this is limited on certain sailings.
LD Lines launches new France - Spain service
LD Lines has launched a new service between Nantes-Saint-Nazaire in North West France and Gijon in Northern Spain, with a crossing time of 14 hours. LD Lines launches largest cross-Channel catamaran
LD Lines has announced the launch of the largest catamaran to operate on the Cross-Channel route, and the first to carry freight.The 1,200-passenger vessel will start service in May, operating between Dover and Boulogne. Its journey times will be one hour, making it 45 minutes faster than the company’s ferries which operate on the same route.
