DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Port Huron. Formerly the Thomas Edison Inn, the property reopens following a 12-month, multi-million dollar renovation. The hotel’s transformation will continue with the development of the new 40,000 square foot Blue Water Area Convention Center, on which the hotel will break ground in October in partnership with St. Clair County.

DoubleTree by Hilton to open two new London hotels
DoubleTree by Hilton has announced it will open two new hotels in London this summer under franchise agreements with Westmont Hospitality. The latest additions are DoubleTree by Hilton London - Hyde Park and DoubleTree by Hilton London - Ealing, both of which are in the final stages of extensive refurbishments totalling £20 million, joining seven other DoubleTree by Hilton properties across the capital city.
DoubleTree by Hilton launches in Australia
Hilton Worldwide has announced that it will introduce its fastest growing full-service brand, DoubleTree by Hilton, to Australia when it rebrands four Northern Territory hotels on 1 May 2013. The country’s first three DoubleTree by Hilton hotels: DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin, DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin, DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs will open alongside Hilton Darwin in the Territory.
DoubleTree by Hilton comes to Portugal
Following a succession of recent brand introductions in the Iberian Peninsula, Hilton Worldwide has announced that its DoubleTree by Hilton brand is set to arrive in Portugal. The signing of a management agreement with Turismadeira will see Lisbon’s Fontana Park Hotel convert to DoubleTree by Hilton Lisbon – Fontana Park in summer 2013, as Hilton’s first hotel in the Portuguese capital.
