World’s largest JW Marriott opens in Texas

The world’s largest JW Marriott has opened its doors in San Antonio, Texas, offering a hacienda-style getaway brimming with luxurious amenities.

Situated on the cusp of the Texas Hill Country, the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa offers patrons views of live oaks and rolling scenery. Some 1,002 guest rooms have been designed as intimate retreats with a rustically refined decor.

A 26,000-square-foot spa is ready to indulge guests with a Texas-sized array of treatments along with fitness classes and a lagoon-like, private pool. Perhaps the resort’s most notable offerings can be found in its two Tournament Players Club golf courses. The AT&T Canyons Course has been designed by Pete Dye and PGA TOUR Player Consultant Bruce Lietzke, while the AT&T Oaks Course dotes designers Greg Norman and PGA TOUR Player Consultant Sergio Garcia. This May (May 13-16, 2010), the JW will be the new home of the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open.

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is also being noted as a top, all-in-one meeting destination. Over 140,000 square feet of meeting space, numerous eateries and a convenient location close to downtown San Antonio, the airport and the Hill Country are keeping this property top-of-mind for meeting professionals.
