Travel Indochina is introducing a brand new boutique-style river cruise liner, The Jahan, to its product portfolio. A boutique and more opulent sister ship to the world-renowned river boat, The Jayavarman, The Jahan will be the smallest and most luxurious cruise boat to wind through the majestic Mekong Delta, from Vietnam to Cambodia.
 
In addition, Travel Indochina is offering a £150 discount per person on the ship’s inaugural sailing, for all early-bird bookings made between now and 31st March 2011. This discount is applicable to all cabin types, with prices now starting from £2,040 per person for a Superior Stateroom (normal price £2,190 per person). This includes one night’s accommodation pre and post cruise, airport transfers, most meals and all touring. International flights are excluded.

The Jahan will take its maiden voyage along the mighty Mekong River in late October 2011, travelling from the bustling city of Saigon to Siem Reap, gateway to the spectacular Temples of Angkor. The boat’s inaugural sailing will be exclusively chartered by Travel Indochina with the specialist operator’s co-founder and Managing Director, Paul Hole, acting as the onboard escort and willing to share his passion, experience and insight on this fascinating region with interested guests.

With just 26 cabins in total, including two elegant Jacuzzi Suites, and a maximum capacity of 52 passengers, this new 21st-century marvel will promise guests a wonderfully intimate cruising experience with international top service standards. It will also boast the highest staff-to-passenger ratio than any other vessel on the Mekong – ensuring that its guests benefit from a truly personalised service.

Taking its name from Shah Jahan, a distinguished emperor of the Mughal Empire in India, this spectacular cruise will offer uncompromising luxury reminiscent of the Indian colonial era. The Jahan’s 26 cabins will be the largest on the waters of the Mekong, featuring kingsize beds overlooking floor-to-ceiling windows that slide open onto private balconies; while its 12 beautifully-appointed staterooms will boast the biggest balconies on Indochina’s waterways, affording passengers panoramic views of the spectacular surrounding scenery.

Also onboard the cruise ship, passengers can take advantage of The Jahan’s, pool and observatory decks, fully-equipped gymnasium, spa and steam bath, and of world class food; as well as the possibility to explore the Mekong at guests’ own pace with shore excursions that can be tailor-made to suit individual interests by the boat’s onboard shore-excursion butler.
