The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate hosts art weekend

As the autumn hues descend on the south west coast, The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate will host its first two day art course on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September in the extensive picturesque grounds of the manor house Estate.

Participants will be taught by esteemed Scottish Artist Nichol Wheatley, who has previously taught at the Glasgow School of Art, lectures on Rembrandt and Whistler, is a founding member of the Maryhill Art School, and is founder and head of one of Scotland’s leading Fine Art Studios, Perfect Circle Art. Having worked all over Europe, Wheatley specialises in painting and will guide The Cornwall’s art students through the development of their work from drawing to painting, focusing on how to construct a landscape painting from the students’ own research.

Set in 43 acres of beautiful Victorian parkland, The Cornwall Hotel & Estate is home to a new luxury hotel with restaurant, indulgent Clearing Spa, fitness facilities and 22 luxury Woodland Homes for sale and holiday rental. The hotel’s panoramic views over the stunning Victorian walled gardens, ancient woodland, pastures and lakes provide the perfect subject for an artistic getaway.
Suitable for both complete beginners and more experienced artists, the course will run from 10am to 4pm each day with an hour for lunch.
