Sales appointments for Jumeirah Group in Dubai

Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, is pleased to announce several new appointments for its Sales team in Dubai.

Daniel Weihrauch is appointed Director of Cluster Sales – Dubai. Daniel Weihrauch joins Jumeirah from IHG, where he was Director of Sales and Marketing at InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut (Lebanon) since 2010. After graduating from Berlin Business School with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Daniel joined Kempinski Hotels & Resorts in Germany, his home country, as a Sales Executive. He then came to Dubai and Jumeirah in 2003, first as a Business Development Executive in Jumeirah Emirates Towers, then becoming part of a Sales Task Force in Jumeirah Essex House (New York, USA) before returning to Dubai as Key Account Manager. In 2007 Daniel moved on to the pre-opening team of InterContinental Hotels Dubai Festival City as Director of Corporate Sales, then as Director of Sales.

Katja Graf is promoted to Director of Sales Leisure – Dubai. An Austrian national, she has 10 years of experience in hospitality, having worked in Europe and the Middle East. Katja started her career at the InterContinental Hotel in Vienna as Sales Manager Leisure before being promoted to Team Leader – Tour & Travel. She moved to Dubai in 2008 to join the pre-opening team at Atlantis Palm Dubai as Business Development Manager – MICE. Prior to joining Jumeirah in 2011, she was Director of Travel Trade and Airline Sales at InterContinental Hotels Group for the Dubai Festival City hotels and Al Badia Golf Club. Katja is a graduate from the Tourism Colleague in Vienna with a degree in Foreign Languages and Economics as well as a Certificate in Law. She is fluent in English, German, Spanish and French.

Olinda Morais is now Director of Sales, Groups & Events Conversion – Dubai. Olinda Morais has over 15 years of international experience in the hospitality industry, starting at the Hilton on Park Lane in London (UK). She also worked for Hilton in France, Venezuela, and Brazil, then as Regional Revenue Director for Latin America before returning to Hilton Paris as Director of Events & Conventions. Olinda joined Madinat Jumeirah – The Arabian Resort in 2009. She speaks French, English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently. She has a degree in Business Studies from Morin College (France), as well as a degree in International Trade, Communication & Journalism.

Jan Kaspar Rienermann has worked for Jumeirah Group since 2005 and is now promoted to Director of Sales, Groups & Events – Dubai. After graduating with a degree in Hospitality Management, he joined the Steigenberger Hotel Group and worked in several Sales & Marketing positions, including for their flagship property, Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof. In 2005, Jan joined Jumeirah Beach Hotel before moving to Madinat Jumeirah, first as a Business Development Manager then as an Associate Director of Sales. He became Cluster Associate Director of Sales for Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts in 2009. A German national, Jan is fluent in English and German.

Jad Doumet has recently been appointed as the Director of Sales, GCC & Government – Dubai. Prior to joining the Jumeirah Group Jad worked at the Armani Hotel, Dubai as the Director of Sales. With over 12 years of experience, Jad has worked with leading global brands such as the Hilton in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and InterContinental Le Vendôme & InterContinental Phoenicia in Beirut. In 2007, Jad joined the pre-opening team for InterContinental Dubai Festival City as Senior Account Manager. Jad worked in several Sales management roles with InterContinental before joining Crowne Plaza Dubai as the Director of Sales in 2009. A Lebanese national, Jad, also holds a Bachelors degree in Hotel Management and Tourism from Notre Dame University in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon and is fluent in Arabic and English.
