Royal couple arrive in Los Angeles

Kate and William have touched down in Southern California for a weekend trip to Los Angeles, following on from their nine day tour of Canada.

According to reports, the Duke and Duchess arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday aboard a gray Canadian military jet.

It is thought that this short trip will include a game of polo in Santa Barbara, a visit to Skid Row, one of the city’s poorest areas and a highly anticipated red carpet reception, which will be attended by celebrities.

Prince William has been to America before, but this marks Kate’s first trip to the U.S.

Millions of Americans tuned in to watch the Royal Wedding back in May, with many joining international fans and travelling to the UK to catch a glimpse of the couple.
