Through trains will now operate between London Euston and Scotland on Saturday 28 May and Sunday 29 May.

Anglo-Scottish travellers considering their travel options in the event of potential air travel problems will benefit from the operation of through trains between London Euston and Scotland this weekend.

Virgin Trains aims to run a basic hourly service this weekend (Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 May) following the lifting of route improvement restrictions on Anglo-Scottish routes by Network Rail.

This announcement follows additional seats being provided on London/Birmingham to Scotland routes this week following airport closures as a result of the Ash Cloud.
