Powerful new partnership announced between IAEE and IMEX America

In the next of a series of high-level industry partnerships designed to enhance IMEX America’s extensive business and education delivery, organizers have announced a partnership agreement with IAEE, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events. IMEX America is America’s new worldwide exhibition for the incentive travel, meetings and events industry. It debuts October 11-13 in Las Vegas at the Sands Expo, which is connected to the show’s Headquarters Hotel, the Venetian/Palazzo.

Starting in February, IAEE will continue to communicate key information and opportunities to all members and also bring a group of hosted buyers to the show. As part of a week-long series of educational programs and co-located events during which IMEX America will deliver three days of trade show business, IAEE will run two CEM sessions for its members. The first will focus on “Housing and Registration Management” on October 9 followed by “Strategic Planning and Management” on October 10. The association will also provide a tailor-made session open to all during IMEX America, which will share best practices from the exhibitions and events industry.

By partnering with IAEE, IMEX America is now allied to organizations and associations with a total reach of more than 100,000 meetings industry professionals around the world. The show’s strategic partner and premier educational provider is Meeting Professionals International (MPI) with more than 23,000 global members. It also has key partnerships with all the leading meetings industry trade associations including DMAI (Destination Marketing Association International), PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association), ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, ACTE Global (Association of Corporate Travel Executives), plus ADME (Association of Destination Management Executives), AIPC (International Association of Congress Centres), CIC (Convention Industry Council), ECM (European Cities Marketing), JMIC (Joint Meetings Industry Council), and ICCA (International Congress Convention Association). Just last month. Chairman Ray Bloom also announced an exclusive partnership with the US Travel Association.

Commenting on the importance of this new partnership, Steven Hacker, CAE, President of IAEE, said: “IAEE is very excited to partner with IMEX America on this unique event. Through collaborations with the industry partners and key planning sessions, I am confident that attendees will discover new opportunities, establish new global business networks, and leave having met their objectives.”

Ray Bloom responded: “It is a particular pleasure for me to be working with IAEE again as both of our organizations have a long history of successful collaboration. IAEE will bring great dynamism and professionalism to our education program in America, and we look forward to welcoming many of their members and buyers to Las Vegas in October.”
